Les Moore Shot by a Forty Four Remix – a Tombstone, Arizona song by Tanuki Thunder

Intro

I’m about to tell you the true story of the toughest son of a bitch I ever knew

Verse

Up on Boot Hill in Tombstone
There’s a marker for a man named Less Moore
The stone reads plain and clear
“Here lies Less Moore
Shot by a forty-four, no less, no more”

Chorus

They put four rounds in him
But he was still standing
With his last shot he took the other man down
And they both died out there in the desert

Instrumental Solo

Verse 2

He wasn’t going to hell alone
That was the deal he made
Traded his own life
Just to drag his killer with him

Chorus

They put four rounds in him
But he was still standing
With his last shot he took the other man down
And they both died out there in the desert

Instrumental Solo

Bridge

The gravestone keeps it short
But the real story runs deeper
The toughest bastard of them all
Refused to die by himself

Chorus

They put four rounds in him
But he was still standing
With his last shot he took the other man down
And they both died out there in the desert
